The American Bakers Association (ABA) is pleased to announce that United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue will address Fall Policy Conference participants in Washington, D.C., Sept. 12, 2018.

“We are honored that Secretary Perdue will engage in an interactive dialogue with ABA members on USDA and baker priorities at the Fall Policy Conference, especially at a time when the U.S. Congress is working to toward finalizing the Farm Bill and when the Administration is on the brink of finding a North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) settlement,” said ABA President & CEO Robb MacKie. “This is an outstanding opportunity for bakers and suppliers to engage with a preeminent voice for the baking industry. We look forward to Secretary Perdue’s insight as a leader guiding the future of our nation’s food supply as we plan for the future of the industry.”

Secretary Perdue has served as a farmer, agribusinessman, Captain in the United States Air Force, veterinarian, state legislator and governor of Georgia and has held his current position as U.S. Secretary of Agriculture since April 25, 2017.
